The Chevrolet Volt and Nissan Leaf are two of the best-selling plug-in electric cars in North America. The hatchback-like Leaf debuted in 2010, while the Volt appeared one year later. The Leaf is the bigger EV with more cargo space and an extra seat to fit five. A facelifted Nissan Leaf was suppose to debut in 2015 but never did. A redesigned Chevrolet Volt is slated for 2016 and will reportedly be introduced at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show. Which electric car would you buy? Or do you have an a few more thousand dollars burning in your pocket and can opt for the luxuries of the Cadillac ELR?
