2016 Lincoln MKX vs. 2015 Lincoln MKX
When little brother, Lincoln MKC was introduced in 2014 it was a preview of the brand’s design direction. And judging from the warm reception of the 2016 Lincoln MKX at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show it appears that Lincoln is heading in the right direction with its new style. The automaker finally succeeded in making its two crossovers appear more than just rebadged Fords. It has created its own identity that is unique and modern, something that Lincoln has been lacking for decades.
The only similarity between the new MKX and the current one is the front grill. Everything else, inside and out is completely new. The 2016 MKX is said to be inspired by airplane design. It is longer, lower, and wider than its predecessor, appearing a lot beefier. There’s a lot to be excited about if you’re a fan of Lincoln; but probably the best thing that’s going for the new MKX is its unique design that looks nothing like the Ford Edge with whom it shares underpinnings.
