2016 Chevrolet Equinox vs. 2015 Chevrolet Equinox
Five years without a refresh is a long time to be on the market for any vehicle. Usually, a model’s design becomes stale and outdated after that many years. The Chevrolet equinox may just be the exception. It has had steady sales numbers throughout its existence including record-setting January figures. This is not typical for such an old vehicle so this goes to show that Chevrolet hit the mark with a design that still feels modern after so many years. While other crossovers in its segment have been redesigned the Equinox continues to stand out despite a relatively old exterior.
An all-new model would have been nice to see but as the saying goes, ‘If it ain’t broke…’. So it’s understandable why the Equinox received only a cosmetic refresh for 2016. From the single photo of a headlight that Chevrolet released it’s apparent the Equinox will receive a new bumper and headlights. The rear will most likely be tweaked as well, while the silhouette will remain the same. We’ll know more about the 2016 Chevrolet Equinox when it’s revealed at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show. Watch for an in depth comparison between the new and current model next week.
