2016 Lexus ES vs 2015 Lexus ES
I’m willing to bet that only a bear, just waking up from its winter-long slumber, would be surprised with the enormous grill on the refreshed 2016 Lexus ES. For the rest of us, we knew the next update of the automaker’s best selling vehicle would sport the brand’s signature spindle grill. If you look closely at the outgoing model’s grill you’ll notice that designers simply removed the horizontal bar to make the grill such a focal point. If memory serves me correctly Audi was the first to open up its grill by eliminating the center piece of the bumper.
Aggressive headlights and edgier bumper round out the refresh on the front of the ES sedan. Tweaked tail lights are the only difference in the rear as the bumper remains unchanged. The interior layout remains the same as before but the 2016 ES gets reconfigured buttons on the steering wheel. Overall, the refresh gives the 2016 Lexus ES a sporty, yet elegant look and feel that is on par with the rest of the Lexus model lineup.
