Hyundai Elantra Touring History
Type: 5-door wagon
Competitors: Volkswagen Golf Sportwagen
The Elantra Touring was a great car at the wrong time. In 2010 wagons weren’t a popular choice because buyers were snatching up crossovers. In fact, wagons, in recent memory, have taken a backseat as the SUV craze continues to fill our streets with larger than necessary vehicles. Hopefully, Hyundai will resurrect this wagon when the time is right because it will, without a doubt, be a top contender in the segment. And when the Touring does return it will join an already strong family of Elantras that includes the sedan and GT hatchback. Most likely, it has a better chance of returning to dealerships than the coupe.
