Jeep Commander – 2006-2010
Jeep Commander History
Jeep Commander burst on the scene in 2006 to give buyers a seven seated option. Although it was the brand’s largest offering it shared its underpinnings with Jeep’s mid-sized Grand Cherokee.
The Commander had a boxy design similar to Jeeps from the past. It was like a larger version on the second generation Cherokee.
Despite its nostalgic exterior the Commander lasted only four model years and was discontinued in 2010. High gas prices and low demand for SUVs also helped its demise.
Without a single refresh the Jeep Commander is officially a One Hit Wonder.
