2015 Kia Sedona vs. 2014 Kia Sedona
Kia would prefer that you call the all-new 2015 Sedona a MPV rather than a minivan. The’re trying to distinguish themselves from the competition, which is, or perhaps was, years ahead of the Korean automaker. While its Korean cousin, Hyundai, decided to retire its Entourage minivan, which was built on the same platform, the Sedona thinks it has enough to make a dent in the minivan market.
Whether you call it a minivan or a MPV, the new Sedona is head and shoulders above the outgoing model. The exterior is bolder and more aggressive than the wannabe that it replaces. From the large grill to the boxy silhouette the Sedona’s stance is comparable to the Sorento, Kia’s large SUV. It has a premium feel both inside and out. The front quarter could easily be mistaken for an SUV, which is a plus considering the popularity of crossovers. The entire vehicle is larger than the outgoing model and is comparable to its competition.
