2016 Toyota Rav4 vs. 2015 Toyota Rav4
The wait is finally over. What is thought by many to be long overdue has finally become reality. The 2016 Toyota Rav4 debuted at the New York Auto Show with a facelift and a hybrid power-train under the hood. After 21 years on the road this is the first Rav4 to sport a hybrid engine.
To differentiate itself from the current model Toyota gave the Rav4 new front and rear fascia including a redesigned grill that is refreshingly minimal compared to the open-mouthed grills on the brand’s other vehicles. Both the headlights and tail lights are sleeker and taper off toward the centre. The silhouette of the 2016 Rav4 remains relatively the same except for the bumper ‘lips’ that stick out on the new model.
The interior layout remains the same but the look and feel will differ depending on the trim level. One thing coffee drinkers may notice is the cup holders can now support a cup handle, which means you can now brew your coffee at home and not having to worry about putting it in a handle-less cup. That may just be the deal breaker right there.
